MP3 to AMR Converter FAQs

Common questions about converting MP3 audio files to AMR format online.

The backend strictly validates file extensions and allows only .mp3 files. This ensures stable conversion and avoids unsupported audio formats.

AMR-NB format supports mono audio only, and the conversion pipeline forces a single audio channel to comply with AMR-NB specifications.

AMR-NB requires an 8000 Hz sample rate. This setting is mandatory for compatibility with AMR-NB codecs and speech-based audio systems.

No. The bitrate is fixed at 12.2 kbps, which is the highest standard bitrate for AMR-NB and is hard-coded in the conversion process.

Uploaded MP3 files remain temporarily stored. If no conversion is done, they are automatically deleted by the cleanup system after approximately one hour.

This happens if:

  • The file was automatically cleaned up

  • The session expired

  • The file was manually deleted earlier

In this case, the file must be uploaded again.

If the page refreshes but the session is still active and files have not been cleaned up, downloads may still work. Otherwise, files must be re-uploaded.

When more than one AMR file is available, the tool automatically packages them into a ZIP file for easier downloading.

No. Files are stored temporarily only and are automatically removed after a set time to protect storage and privacy.
