AllFileTools is a free, browser-based platform offering 100+ tools across file conversion, PDF processing, image editing, developer utilities, SEO analysis, and everyday calculators. Since launching, we've helped a growing community of users convert, compress, and manage their files without paywalls, software downloads, or privacy compromises.

We're now opening our blog to guest contributors. If you have hands-on experience with file formats, developer workflows, image processing, SEO, or productivity software, we want to hear from you. This page explains everything you need to know before submitting a guest post — what we publish, how we evaluate submissions, and how to get started.

Why Write for AllFileTools

What We Publish

PDF Tools & Document Management Image Tools & Formats Developer Tools & Utilities Audio & Video SEO & Website Tools Calculators & Everyday Utilities Software Reviews & Comparisons Productivity & Digital Workflow

1. What We Publish

We publish practical, experience-based content built around the categories our platform already serves:

  • PDF Tools & Document Management — merging, splitting, compressing, converting, and securing PDFs; document workflow tips
  • Image Tools & Formats — conversion between formats (PNG, JPG, WebP, HEIC, SVG, RAW formats such as DNG, NEF, CR2/CR3, ORF, RW2), compression, editing, and AI-assisted image tools
  • Developer Tools & Utilities — encoding/decoding, hashing, regex, API testing, data format conversion (CSV, XML, JSON, SQL), and related workflows
  • Audio & Video — format conversion, compression, and editing tutorials
  • SEO & Website Tools — technical SEO, on-page optimization, site auditing, and use of SEO utilities
  • Calculators & Everyday Utilities — practical guides built around financial, unit-conversion, or productivity calculators
  • Software Reviews & Comparisons — honest, hands-on reviews of file-management and productivity software
  • Productivity & Digital Workflow — how professionals, students, and small businesses use digital tools to work faster and more securely

2. Topics We Accept

  • Original how-to guides and tutorials involving file formats, conversions, or digital tools
  • Comparison articles (e.g., "PNG vs. WebP: Which Should You Use?")
  • Troubleshooting guides for common file, format, or software issues
  • Explainers on file formats, codecs, or data structures
  • SEO and technical web guides relevant to site owners and developers
  • Software and tool reviews based on genuine hands-on use
  • Productivity and workflow articles for freelancers, students, developers, and small businesses
  • Data privacy and digital security topics relevant to everyday file handling

3. Topics We Don't Accept

  • Content unrelated to files, documents, images, developer tools, SEO, or productivity software
  • Thinly veiled advertisements or product placements disguised as editorial content
  • Political, religious, or divisive content unrelated to our niche
  • Adult, gambling, cryptocurrency investment advice, or pharmaceutical content (CBD/ pharma/ casino niches)
  • Content promoting piracy, cracked software, unauthorized activation tools, or copyright circumvention
  • Listicles with no original insight, thin AI-generated filler, or reworded competitor content
  • Guest posts submitted primarily to secure a backlink, with little regard for reader value

4. Guest Post Guidelines

  • Length: Minimum 1,200 words for standard guides; in-depth tutorials and comparisons may run longer. We do not accept articles under 800 words.
  • Originality: Content must be written specifically for AllFileTools and must not be published anywhere else, before or after submission to us.
  • Structure: Use a clear introduction, descriptive H2/H3 subheadings, short paragraphs, and a conclusion. Break up long sections with bullet points or numbered steps where relevant.
  • Voice: Write in a clear, practical, second-person voice ("you can convert…", "here's how to…"). Avoid overly academic or overly casual tone — match the direct, no-fluff style of a tool that helps people get things done quickly.
  • Accuracy: Every technical claim, step, or instruction must be correct and testable. If you reference a specific tool, format, or software version, verify it before submitting.

5. Content Quality Standards

We hold every guest submission to the same standard as our own published content:

  • Clear, well-researched, and free of factual errors
  • Free of grammar, spelling, and formatting mistakes
  • Genuinely useful to someone trying to solve a real problem
  • Structured for readability — short paragraphs, descriptive subheadings, and scannable formatting
  • Backed by direct experience, testing, or credible sourcing wherever a claim is made

6. Originality Requirements

All submissions must be 100% original and written exclusively for AllFileTools. We check every submission for plagiarism and duplicate content before publication. Do not submit:

  • Content copied or closely paraphrased from other websites
  • Articles previously published (in full or in part) on another blog, forum, or publication
  • Spun or reworded versions of existing articles, including your own previously published work

Submissions found to contain plagiarized material will be rejected outright, and repeat offenders will be permanently barred from contributing.

7. AI Content Policy

AI writing tools may be used for brainstorming, outlining, or grammar assistance, but the final submission must reflect genuine human expertise, judgment, and original writing. We do not accept:

  • Articles generated wholesale by AI with little or no human editing, fact-checking, or added insight
  • Content containing unverified or fabricated claims, statistics, or citations
  • Generic, templated content that could apply to any website in any niche

Every submission is reviewed for depth, accuracy, and evidence of real subject-matter understanding. Articles that read as generic AI output will be sent back for revision or declined.

8. Technical Accuracy Requirements

Because our audience relies on our content to complete real tasks, technical accuracy is non-negotiable:

  • Instructions must be tested and reproducible
  • Software names, version numbers, file extensions, and technical terms must be correct
  • Code snippets, commands, or formulas must be verified to work as written
  • Claims about file format behavior, compatibility, or limitations must be accurate and current

9. Screenshots & Image Guidelines

  • Include original screenshots or images wherever they clarify a process (e.g., step-by-step tutorials)
  • All images must be your own, properly licensed for commercial use, or royalty-free with no attribution restrictions that conflict with our publishing rights
  • Do not submit copyrighted images, stock photos without a valid license, or screenshots containing personal or sensitive information
  • Provide descriptive alt text suggestions for each image
  • Recommended format: PNG or JPG, optimized for web (under 500KB where possible — feel free to use our own Image Compressor tool before submitting)

10. Code Snippet Guidelines

  • Code snippets must be tested and functional
  • Use proper Markdown code blocks with language identifiers (e.g., ```python, ```javascript)
  • Keep snippets focused and relevant — avoid pasting entire files when a short, illustrative example will do
  • Explain what the code does in plain language before or after the snippet

11. Tool Review Guidelines

  • Reviews must be based on genuine, hands-on use of the tool or software
  • Disclose clearly if you were given free access, a license, or any compensation in exchange for the review
  • Include both strengths and limitations — one-sided promotional reviews will not be published
  • Compare the tool against realistic alternatives where relevant, rather than reviewing it in isolation

12. Software Review Policy

Software reviews follow the same standards as tool reviews. We do not publish reviews written without direct testing, and we do not accept reviews submitted by parties with an undisclosed financial interest in the software (developers, resellers, or affiliates) unless clearly disclosed to readers.

13. External Link Policy

  • A maximum of 2–3 external links per article, pointing to authoritative, relevant sources (official documentation, research, reputable publications)
  • We do not accept links to competing file-conversion or PDF-tool platforms
  • We do not accept links to low-quality, spammy, or unrelated websites
  • All external links are subject to editorial review and may be removed or changed at our discretion

14. Internal Link Policy

We encourage 1–3 internal links to relevant AllFileTools blog posts or tool pages where they genuinely help the reader complete the task described in your article. Our editorial team may add, adjust, or remove internal links during review to maintain site-wide consistency.

15. Affiliate Link Policy

We do not accept guest posts containing affiliate links. If your article discusses paid software or services, describe them factually without embedding tracked or monetized links. Any undisclosed affiliate link found during review will result in immediate rejection.

16. Copyright Policy

By submitting an article, you confirm that:

  • You are the original author of the submitted content
  • The content does not infringe on any third party's copyright, trademark, or intellectual property rights
  • You have the right to grant AllFileTools the publishing rights described in this policy

17. Plagiarism Policy

All submissions are checked using plagiarism-detection tools prior to publication. Any article found to contain plagiarized, copied, or unlicensed content will be rejected. Confirmed plagiarism will result in the permanent removal of the contributor from our guest posting program.

18. Fact-Checking Requirements

Contributors are responsible for verifying all facts, statistics, technical steps, and claims before submission. Our editorial team performs a secondary review, but the primary responsibility for accuracy rests with the author. Articles containing unverifiable or misleading claims will be returned for correction or declined.

19. Editorial Standards

All content published on AllFileTools must be:

  • Accurate, well-organized, and genuinely useful
  • Free of unsupported claims, exaggeration, or misleading statements
  • Consistent with our brand voice: direct, practical, and free of unnecessary jargon
  • Compliant with our existing Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, and Disclaimer

20. Editorial Rights

AllFileTools reserves the right to edit, format, shorten, or otherwise revise any guest submission for clarity, accuracy, SEO, or house style before publication. We will make reasonable efforts to preserve the author's intent and voice. We also reserve the right to decline any submission, at any stage, without obligation to explain the decision in detail.

21. Review & Approval Process

  1. Submission review – Our editorial team checks your pitch or draft against these guidelines.
  2. Feedback or approval – We either approve the piece, request revisions, or decline it with a brief explanation.
  3. Editing – Approved articles are edited for clarity, SEO, and formatting consistency.
  4. Final approval – You may be asked to review significant edits before publication.
  5. Publication – The article is scheduled and published on the AllFileTools blog.

22. Response Time

We aim to respond to all pitches and submissions within 1–3 business days. If you haven't heard back after 10 business days, feel free to follow up by email — high submission volume can occasionally delay our response.

23. Publication Timeline

Approved articles are typically published within 2–4 days of final approval, depending on our editorial calendar. We do not guarantee a specific publication date at the time of acceptance.

24. Content Updates Policy

We periodically review and update published guest content to keep it accurate as tools, formats, and software change. We reserve the right to make factual updates, add new internal links, or refresh outdated sections without separately notifying the original author, though significant rewrites will credit the update where appropriate.

25. Content Ownership

Once published, AllFileTools holds exclusive rights to host and display the article on our platform. Authors retain the right to be credited as the original writer but agree not to republish the same content elsewhere without our prior written consent. If you'd like to repurpose your article elsewhere after a reasonable period, contact us — we're generally happy to discuss it.

26. Content Removal Policy

We reserve the right to unpublish or remove any guest article at our discretion — for example, if it becomes factually outdated beyond reasonable repair, violates our updated editorial standards, or is found to infringe on a third party's rights. Authors may request removal of their article by contacting us; requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

27. Reasons for Rejection

Common reasons submissions are declined include:

  • Topic doesn't align with our content categories
  • Content is thin, generic, or lacks original insight
  • Plagiarized, duplicate, or previously published content
  • Excessive self-promotion, affiliate links, or advertising language
  • Poor grammar, structure, or formatting requiring extensive rewriting
  • Unverifiable technical claims or inaccurate instructions
  • AI-generated content with little evidence of human expertise or editing

28. Submission Process

  1. Pitch first (recommended): Email us a short pitch — a working title, a 2–3 sentence summary, and an outline of key points.
  2. Wait for confirmation: We'll review your pitch and let you know if it's a good fit before you invest time writing the full article.
  3. Submit your draft: Once approved, submit your complete article as a Google Doc link or Markdown file, along with any images and your author bio.
  4. Review and edits: Our editorial team reviews the piece and may request revisions.
  5. Publication: Once finalized, your article is scheduled for publication on the AllFileTools blog.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept unsolicited full drafts, or should I pitch first?

We prefer a short pitch first so we can confirm topic fit before you write the full piece, but we will also review complete drafts submitted directly.

Is writing for AllFileTools paid?

We currently do not offer monetary compensation for guest posts. Contributors benefit from byline credit, author bio exposure, and a nofollow backlink.

Can I include links to my own website or tools?

Yes, one relevant link in your author bio is permitted. Affiliate links and promotional links within the article body are not allowed.

How long does it take to hear back?

We aim to respond within 5–7 business days of receiving your pitch or draft.

Can I submit more than one article?

Yes. Contributors who deliver high-quality, well-received articles are welcome to pitch additional topics.

Will I be able to review edits before publication?

For minor edits (grammar, formatting, SEO adjustments), no separate review is needed. For substantial edits, we'll share the revised draft with you before it goes live.

Do you accept translated or non-English submissions?

We currently publish in English only.

What if my topic isn't listed under "Topics We Accept"?

Pitch it anyway with a clear explanation of relevance to file tools, document management, developer utilities, or digital productivity — we evaluate topics individually.
